4 Ways To Wear A Skinny Scarf

Happy Friday everyone!! It’s finally the weekend! I have a big date night planned for Tyler & I tonight before our wedding all day tomorrow. The weather lately has been absolutely incredible and I can’t get enough!! I am so excited about today’s post – it’s all about this adorable skinny scarf that was handmade and sent to me from the sweetest lady named Kim who owns Daisy Faye Designs! I immediately fell in love with it and the endless styling possibilities that came with it. Bandanas/neck scarves are a wildly popular trend this season (I’m talking HUGE), and I could’t wait to try it out for myself! So here we go – 4 ways to wear a skinny  scarf!

Let me just talk for one quick sec about why I love this scarf so much. First of all, the skinny scarf trend was born in Paris and has been a trademark trend there for decades. If you know me at all, you know that I am obsessed with anything Parisian or French! Especially clothing and fashion. Totally channeling my inner french girl here (which isn’t hard). Secondly, the pattern on the scarf is a Rifle Paper Co. design. If you’ve never heard of them, they are an adorable brand that makes anything from planners to gift wrap to phone cases all with the cutest designs! Kim at Daisy Faye Designs uses their prints and I love it!!

Although there are dozens of ways to style a piece like this, here are my top 4!

Style #1: Around Your Neck

I mean, duh. Tie it in a knot, turn it to the side, and voila. This is seriously such a fun pop to a simple outfit. I paired it here with a plain white tee and some dark wash jeans. Because the pattern is so busy, I knew neutral colors and a basic tee would go perfectly. However, if you had a solid colored skinny scarf, you could do the opposite! Pair it with a busy printed top or dress. Make it your own!

Style #2 – As a Headband

My personal favorite style! I love this look with some soft curls or beach waves. Simply tie the scarf with all your hair behind it and pull out a few strands in the front. I love the girly vibe I get from this look – totally my style! ps: excuse my ridiculously frizzy hair!!

Style #3 – A High Ponytail

This one makes me feel so retro! Rosie the Riveter, anyone?? On these hot summer days, I loathe having my hair down sometimes. It adds to the sticky and makes me feel like I have a 5lb weight on my head! I almost always pull it up into a ponytail by the end of the day. Adding this fun pop of color takes my basic ponytail to the next level!

Style #4 – A Messy Bun

This one definitely channels my inner French girl! A messy bun is my go-to hairstyle in the morning, at night, if I’m cleaning, etc. I added the scarf by wrapping it 2 times around by bun and tying it in a knot to finish off the look. You can totally still be chic when your hair is in a messy bun! It’s all about the accessories.

In addition to these 4 ways to wear a skinny scarf, there are truly endless possibilities! Tie it around your wrist as a bracelet, tie it on your purse for a fun pop of color, etc. I want every single color Kim makes! I’m not exaggerating when I say this is one of my favorite accessories of the summer.
