Winter Layers

Hey guys!

I hope you all had a great week! I was busy one for us, I started working full time and Tyler is preparing to start his new job on Monday. We’re so excited and thankful for all the new opportunities that have crossed our path!

Let’s talk about winter fashion for a sec. It is a constant struggle between freezing cold all the time and dying of heat under all the clothes. The temperature difference between inside and outside is so dramatic that is is impossible to dress for both without layering. Wouldn’t it be nice if it was 72 degrees outside all the time??? Lol. But really. Tonight for example, I wore a turtleneck to the movies. The walk from the car to the theater was so cold, but I was dying of heat in the movie! Nobody wins in the wintertime.

My tip for layering in the wintertime is to start thin and get warmer as you add layers. My favorite thing is to wear a basic tee underneath everything and wear that around the house or office. Keep your most comfortable layer on the bottom!

Another tip is to mix patterns and solids. I paired plaid with polka dots here, broken up with a neutral solid so it isn’t too busy! Mix patterns, but throw something neutral and basic in there in order to make it work.

How do you like to layer in the winter??

Love ya’ll!
